We the People – City of Mamas – 06 Oct 08 – Part 2

by admin on May 25, 2010

The US is the only industrialised nation that does not guarantee any income support during family leave. We the People travels to the child-friendly city of Portland, Oregon, to meet a group of mothers who are fighting to balance work and family.

I really liked your channel and this video. If you need any help getting this video exposed I use a site called tubeviews (dot) net It has really helped like 20 of my main videos get to the top in position.

There is software im using to send atleast 30,000 text message a day advertising my online business…it is amazing. I think they have free demos to try as well.

Try facts, not sarcasm.

What does population size have to do with it? That gives you a broader tax base to draw from as well. Your gov’t can spend 25 Million per day on war but not 15% of that on the nation’s healthcare and the future of your children?

The European countries combined have twice your population in smaller land masses. They ALL have national healthcare.

Equal rights would cause chaos? How? Didn’t happen in any other first world country.

Newsflash Parkdale, Canada is different than the U.S.A.
Sure a nation like Canada with a small population can have national healthcare and all the sweet social programs. The states with 300,000,000 plus people can not.
The same people who want national healthcare also want to commpletly open our borders up.
You know what that means, dont you?
As for the ERA, that would cause masive chaos.

We’re talking about a country that doesn’t even have an ERA.

I doubt it sees childcare and maternity leave as a priority.

crazychrisva:

You need to spend LESS all right–on war.

The money spent on warfare and this bail out could pay for every social program that would increase the quality of life for 80% of your citizens and save some of the bankruptcies/mortgages.

And it would still cost LESS than a trillion dollars a year.

crazychrisva May 25, 2010 at 7:31 am

Paid parental leave would be impossible in the states.
We need to spend less.

michaelmage May 25, 2010 at 7:54 am

It’s Time … Paid parental leave should be a benefit for all parents in the US
